About Me

I'm Christina and on paper I'm your typical stay at home mommy blogger. I'm addicted to coffee, red wine and Pinterest.  I have two boys ages 7 and 5, and an almost 2 year old little girl. My husband and I have been together since high school. We got married and bought our house just out of college. After that we proceeded to spit out babies.

But that is where the comparisons end. I live in a good-hearted but poor community. We actually had a meth lab blow up down the street from us. We spend most of our summer at our family camp which is literally a collection of old campers with no running water (in other words, no flushable toilet/no shower). We still attend and host the occasional party where beer pong is the main source of entertainment. My youngest son is on the autism spectrum. Although I wouldn't change him for the world, our family has challenges that a typical family doesn't have to deal with.

Why am I telling you these things? I could just gloss over the not so pretty parts of me and call it good. I'd get more followers and maybe attract some advertisers. But that wouldn't be me. And I'd prefer not to pretend to be someone I'm not.

In spite of what some may think, we have carved out a great life for our brood. Our extended family has purchased a line of houses, straight out of Monopoly, on our street. As parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles we keep this section of our neighborhood safe and kid-friendly. We make sure our kids are well fed, dressed and given plenty of love and attention. On top of it all, we make sure to save time to keep our marriage strong.

I love my life. Its not perfect, its not what I imagined, but it is the way it should be.
